Wow – what a fantastic project to be involved in!
We recently manufactured and installed a bespoke set of AluK (GB) Ltd sliding and residential doors in Anthracite Grey for a client in Norfolk. The project involved carefully removing the existing veneered timber bi-fold doors and a residential entrance door leading into the swimming pool area, providing the perfect opportunity to completely transform the look, performance, and functionality of the space.
The new sliding doors not only maximise natural light and create an inviting, open-plan feel, but they are also precision-engineered for smooth, effortless operation. The residential entrance door was designed to offer enhanced security, featuring multi-point locking mechanisms and durable aluminium construction, ensuring long-term protection and peace of mind for the client.
Thermal performance was a key focus. Both the sliding and entrance doors are fully thermally broken and designed to reduce heat loss, improve energy efficiency, and maintain comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the year. For additional comfort, high-performance glazing was incorporated, including options for solar control and acoustic insulation where required.
We worked closely with the client to customise every element of the installation, from the striking Anthracite Grey finish to the precise frame dimensions and hardware selection, ensuring that the doors complement the existing architecture while providing modern performance benefits. The result is a dramatic visual upgrade, improved security, enhanced insulation, and a highly functional, long-lasting solution.
