Aluminium Windows and Doors Case Studies: Whitlingham Boat Club, Whitlingham Broad, Norwich, Norfolk
Aluwin was proud to design and manufacture a range of aluminium window, door, and curtain walling systems for the Whitlingham Broad Rowing Club in Norwich.
This high-quality installation formed part of H Smith’s design-and-build project, and we worked closely with the contractor to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget.
The new boathouse facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide a fully usable and accessible ground floor, including boat racking and storage. The first floor accommodates a range of essential amenities, including toilets, changing rooms and shower facilities, a kitchen, an educational and meeting area, and a first aid/office space. A gym is also being added, further enhancing the facility for club members and visitors.
All aluminium systems were manufactured to meet the highest standards of durability, aesthetics, and functionality. The curtain walling and windows allow natural light to flood the interiors, creating bright and welcoming spaces, while the doors provide secure and easy access for members and staff.
Whitlingham Boathouses Foundation, a registered charity, was established to develop and maintain a community rowing and canoeing facility within Whitlingham Country Park for the benefit of Norfolk and Norwich residents. Our work on this project has helped provide a modern, functional, and accessible facility for the local community, supporting sport, education, and recreational activities.
