Sprowston Town Hall

We were proud to work alongside Omnis Construction, the main contractor, on the refurbishment and expansion of Sprowston’s community sports and events centre. Our team manufactured and installed a range of high-quality aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling using the Kestrel profile, transforming the two-story facility into a modern, functional, and welcoming space for the local community.

The new 3,000 sq ft multi-use hall is the centerpiece of the £1.5 million redevelopment programme. As part of the works, we installed precision-engineered aluminium solutions designed to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and performance of the building. The curtain walling creates bright, open interiors that maximise natural light, while the doors and windows provide improved thermal efficiency, security, and durability, ensuring the facility meets modern standards for comfort and longevity.

This project formed part of a broader programme of improvements to the centre, which also included the installation of two new kitchens, modern changing rooms, and upgraded toilet facilities. The aim was to provide a fully accessible, multi-purpose space capable of hosting indoor sports, community events, and social activities for residents of all ages.

Sprowston Town Council funded the redevelopment through a £1.5 million loan. Ian Moncur, town council chairman, emphasised the significance of the project:

“I think this is really important for the people of Sprowston as they have been asking for a community sports centre for 40 years. Last year the council made about £78,000 from the hire of facilities at the centre. It has predicted that figure will rise to more than £90,000 once the refurbishment work has been completed. The new development will provide the town’s 15,000 residents with better indoor sports and event facilities.”
