Wymondham High School – Aluminium Windows and Doors Installation
We are proud to add another school project to our growing portfolio of successful educational installations. Our team recently completed the design, fabrication, and installation of a range of high-quality aluminium windows and doors for the South Block at Wymondham High School in Norfolk.
Project Overview
The project involved the careful removal of the existing Crittall-style metal windows, which, while functional, were reaching the end of their serviceable life and no longer met modern performance standards. These were replaced with the AluK (GB) 58BW window profile, chosen for its slim sightlines, durability, and excellent visual match to the original design. Finished in matt silver grey RAL 7001, the new windows provide a clean, contemporary aesthetic that complements the school’s existing architecture while improving thermal efficiency and weather resistance.
Entrance Door Upgrade
As part of the works, a timber entrance door was also replaced with a Kestrel Aluminium GFTTB door, finished in the same RAL 7001 to create a consistent visual appearance across the building. The aluminium door not only enhances the building’s overall look but also offers improved thermal performance, helping to reduce energy costs and maintain comfort within the school.
